Columbia News from WLTX News19 app good for
I follow Channel 19 and use their app even though we do not live in their viewing area. We visit Columbia often for Gamecock activities. I like to keep up with the news and events in the area. I think Channel 19 does a good job of staying on top of issues and quick reporting and I can usually find out about specific things I am interested in via their app.
I like the timeliness of the breaking news, keeping me at the forefront of what is happening.
I prefer the WLTX app over WIS. It is well organized, isnt littered with insignificant news from other parts of SC and Charlotte, and is easy to navigate. The alerts with breaking news, weather and traffic are timely.
Some bad moments
When I first downloaded this app it was pretty good, not great, but pretty good. The layout was easy to navigate and it loaded fairly quickly. Now its condensed and you have to search for current news or top stories. It also takes 40-50 seconds to load. Ive tried deleting it then downloading it again hoping that would help. No luck. Ive begun using this as my last choice for local news.
The updated version keeps crashing ! No trouble before the update.
This app is easy to use and lets me read the news when I want without crashing on me unlike a different local station app! Thanks WLTX!
Why does it crash all the time? I get an alert and open the app to read the full news story and it crashes EVERY time. I have tried everything on my end assuming that I was doing something wrong. Now still weeks and weeks later it still keeps crashing! I have to stick with the alert and cant read any of the news stories until I get home. Absurd!
Great app, does not support iPhone 5. Needs to be updated. The 5 has been out for 6 months. Please update this app. Thanks.
A 30 second ad before each video on a smart phone? Thats way too long for me to wait....
